Council 4972 – First Meeting
The first meeting of Council No. 4972 was Sunday, May 1, 1960. The members and Candidates met at 9:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Parish for Mass and Communion. Fourth Degree members and visitors served as Honor Guard. At 1:00 o’clock of the same day, initiations was held at St. Patrick’s.
Assisting District Deputy Truman Wrenne at the installation were: Ken Schoen, State Secretary; George Campbell, Grand Knight, Frank Hostettler, Deputy Grand Knight, A. MacDougall, State Insurance Chairman, James Curley, Financial Secretary, all from Council 544.
The officers were elected to finish out the year until July 1, 1960 when they would once again be installed for the year 1960-61.
